How to Setup the Fingerprint
First-Time Activation
1. Plug the SSD into your USB-C device.
2. The display screen will show Fingerprint Locked.
3. Touch the fingerprint sensor with any finger.
4. The screen will show Fingerprint Unlocked.
Note: Once activated, the SSD remains accessible until unplugged or until the host device is restarted.
Registering the First Fingerprint
1. After activation, touch the sensor within 5 seconds.
2. Hold your finger on the sensor for 5 seconds until the screen shows Fingerprint to be registered.
3. Lift and reposition the same finger slightly, then place it back.
4. Repeat this process several times until the screen shows Fingerprint Registered.
✅ Your first fingerprint is now successfully registered.
⚠️ Important: After this step, only registered fingerprints can activate the SSD.
Registering Additional Fingerprints
1. Connect the SSD and activate it with an already registered fingerprint.
2. Within 5 seconds, hold an unregistered finger on the sensor for 5 seconds until the screen shows Fingerprint to be registered.
3. Lift, reposition, and repeat the process several times until the fingerprint is successfully registered.
Capacity: The SSD can store up to 20 fingerprints in total.
Erasing All Fingerprints
1. Connect the SSD and activate it with a registered fingerprint.
2. Hold the same registered finger on the sensor for about 15 seconds until the screen shows Fingerprints Erased!
3. All fingerprints are now deleted, and the SSD can be activated again with any finger.
Important Notice
Once a fingerprint is registered, the SSD can only be unlocked by a registered fingerprint. If registration fails, repeat the process until successful.
