Tango Alpha Tango is a rock and roll band from Portland, Oregon. The band was founded in 2008 by brothers Aaron and Nathan Trueb, Nathan’s wife Mirabai Carter-Trueb, and Walker Beckman. In recent years Joey Harmon (Horsemanship) has joined the band replacing Beckman on drums, and Daniel Jones of Symmetry/Symmetry joined on keys after Aaron left the group to pursue other musical endeavors. Black Cloud is their debut full-length album. About Black Cloud As Tango Alpha Tango is known in Portland for putting on amazing live shows, they took a bit more control with recording BLACK CLOUD, their debut full length. The band really wanted to capture the dirty rock and roll aspect of their sound that comes out midway through a live set, but hasn’t always been present on their previous recordings. The album features songs from last year’s EP KILL & HAIGHT and many more. Their upcoming release showcases the broad dynamic of Nathan Trueb’s songwriting and the band’s intricate compositions that range from raw and rusty blues rock to delicate and haunting vocal melodies that are backed by slick guitar riffs. Produced by Trueb himself, engineered and mixed by David Pollock, tracked to analog tape at Supernatural Studios in Oregon City, the album captures the unpretentious spirit and soul of Tango Alpha Tango.
