Freshness Delivered

Bringing you the freshest and the best teas directly from our garden to your cup.

Located in Mirik Valley, Gopaldhara is one of the highest tea estates in Darjeeling. It stretches from 3500 ft to 7000 ft which makes our teas rich in flavor and aroma. With a large variety to choose from, you’ll find some of the finest teas that are unique to our estate Established in 1881, we have always believed in quality. We ensure that our teas are freshly packed and processed at our gardens and directly delivered to your doorstep.

Know Your Tea Type

Black teas are completely fermented teas. The tea leaves are allowed to fully oxidize during the production process followed by heat processing and sun drying. Oxidation causes the leaves to turn into their characteristic rich dark brown to black color. It also alters the flavors of the tea giving it malty, fruity, and even smoky notes depending on the type of tea being produced.

This process allows the tea leaves to remain whole or only partially broken during processing. The tea leaves are plucked from the garden after which they go through a withering process to reduce moisture. This is followed by rolling where the tea leaves are rolled in a variety of ways to bruise the leaves and start oxidation. Oxidation gives the tea its color and flavors after which the tea leaves are fired to apply heat in order to stop oxidation.

Brewing Instructions for one cup

Pour fresh water that is boiled and then cooled (85°C-90°C) to 1 tsp (around 2.5g) of Darjeeling Classic Second FlushCover with a lid and let it steep for 3-5 minsNumber of Infusions 2 timesStrain and Enjoy!

Darjeeling tea is rich in flavor. We recommend No sugar or milk, condiments are not advised as they may ruin the natural flavor of the tea.
