Growing up in a family with a Wholesale Tea business, Mr. Poddar became familiar with teas early on in his life.
In the early 2000’s he took over the family’s Guwahati office. His passion for technology helped him make the business more efficient and expand it to new heights. In 2014, his daughter-in-law Taruna joined him and started the Kadambri Teas e-commerce website, way before India had seen the D2C boom.
Rather than exporting premium quality Indian tea abroad, Taruna believes India-grown premium teas must reach every Indian household first!
