Product Description

KNOQ OUT is a trick-taking card game for 3 to 6 players. The goal is simple: be the last player with cards in your hand. Each round, every player plays one card of the lead colour. The player with the highest card wins the round and draws one new card. All other players keep losing cards. When you have no cards left, you are out of the game. On your turn, you may also play one Variation Token to change the rules of that round. Low Bid makes the lowest card win. Odd Out removes all odd numbers from play. Hi Five makes 5 the highest card on the table. Play a token at the right moment and the player who was about to win may no longer be winning. Easy to learn in under 5 minutes. Every round plays out differently.

ON YOUR TURN

Play one card (face up) of the lead colour from your hand, if you have it. If you don’t have a card of the lead colour in your hand or if you don’t want to play a card from the lead colour in this turn, you may play a card of any other colour. But keep in mind that all cards that don’t follow the lead colour have no value in the round. You may or may not choose to play a Variation Token together with your card to gain advantage.

PLAY A VARIATION TOKEN

On your turn, you may choose to play ONE Variation Token to gain an advantage. The next player may COUNTER with another Variation Token, replacing the previous one, or continue by only playing a card. After this, no more Variation Tokens can be played that round. At the end of the round, only the winner’s Variation Token (if any) is returned to the player; all others are discarded and cannot be reused.

WIN THE ROUND

The highest value card in the lead colour after considering the Variation Token played, wins the round and then that winner draws one card from the draw pile and leads the next round by playing the Lead Colour.

Discard all cards and remaining tokens played in the previous round.

VARIATION TOKENS

LOW BID

Play this token together with a low value card to change the rules of the round to “lowest card wins.” The lowest value card of the lead colour wins the round.

ODD OUT

Play this token together with an even-number card to make all odd-number cards (1, 3, 5, 7) have no value for this round. The highest even number card of the lead colour wins the round.

HI FIVE

Play this token together with any number equal to or lower than 5. The highest value card is 5 of the lead colour. Numbers 6, 7, 8, 9 have no value for this round.
